How WeeklyPools works
Join a pool, make your picks before kickoff, and see where you land on the leaderboard. Here's exactly how the numbers work.

Every wallet, entry-fee and prize feature on this site uses sandbox demo credits. No real money moves, no real payment processor is connected, and nothing here is a real-money gambling product.
1. Join or create a pool
Every pool has an entry fee, a pick deadline and a set of games. You can browse public pools or create a private one for your group. All entry fees in the current beta are paid in sandbox demo credits from your wallet — not real currency.
2. Make your picks
Pick a winner (and, in some pool formats, a confidence score or spread) for each game before its lock time. Once a game locks, that pick is final.
3. Scoring
As games go final, correct picks earn points based on the pool's format. Standings update automatically and you can follow along on the pool's leaderboard and on the live scoreboard.
4. The fee math, in exact cents
This is the part we want to be completely transparent about. Say a pool has N entries at a fixed entry fee. Here is exactly what happens to that money (in this beta, sandbox demo credits):
- Gross pool = entry fee × number of entries, calculated in whole cents.
- Platform fee (15%) is deducted from the gross pool, rounded down to the nearest whole cent.
- Net prize pool (85%) is whatever remains after the platform fee is removed.
- The net prize pool is split among the top three finishers: 60% to 1st, 25% to 2nd, and 15% to 3rd — each rounded down to the nearest whole cent.
- Because rounding down three times can leave a few cents unassigned, any leftover residual cents are added to 1st place so the full net prize pool is always paid out.
Worked example
10 entries at $10.00 (1,000 cents) each = 10,000 cents gross.
- Platform fee: 15% of 10,000 = 1,500 cents.
- Net prize pool: 10,000 − 1,500 = 8,500 cents.
- 1st place (60%): 5,100 cents ($51.00).
- 2nd place (25%): 2,125 cents ($21.25).
- 3rd place (15%): 1,275 cents ($12.75).
- 5,100 + 2,125 + 1,275 = 8,500 cents — no residual in this example.
When the split produces fractional cents, each share is rounded down first and any leftover cents (usually 1–2¢) are added to 1st place, so the payouts always add up to the exact net prize pool.
Sandbox credits only
WeeklyPools is in public beta. Wallet balances, entry fees and prize payouts all use sandbox demo credits — there is no real payment processor connected, and no real money changes hands anywhere in the product today.
