Rules
Pool rules
The rules that govern every pool on WeeklyPools, from entry to payout.
Last updated beta
WeeklyPools is in public beta.
Every wallet, entry-fee and prize feature on this site uses sandbox demo credits. No real money moves, no real payment processor is connected, and nothing here is a real-money gambling product.
Entries
Entries are paid from your sandbox wallet balance in demo credits. Once you submit picks for a game, that game's picks are locked at kickoff and cannot be changed. Unused entry fees for a pool you never submitted picks in may be refunded to your demo wallet at the pool creator's discretion.
Lock times
Each game locks at its scheduled start time, or at the actual kickoff if the game starts early or is delayed. Picks submitted after lock are not counted.
Scoring
Standard pools award one point per correct winner pick. Confidence and spread pool formats are labeled clearly on the pool page with their specific scoring rules before you join.
Tie-breakers
- Most correct picks in the pool's designated tie-break games, if configured.
- Closest combined-score guess on the pool's tie-break game, if configured.
- Earliest submission time for a completed, valid entry.
- If still tied, prize amounts for the tied places are split evenly in whole cents, with any leftover cent going to whoever submitted first.
Fees and prizes
See the full fee math walkthrough for the 15% platform fee and 60/25/15 prize split. All amounts are sandbox demo credits during the beta.
Postponed, cancelled or incomplete games
If a game is postponed or cancelled before it locks, it's typically excluded from scoring for that pool and picks for it are void. If a pool cannot be scored fairly because of cancellations, the pool creator may void the pool and refund entries to demo wallets.
Fair play
Multiple accounts, collusion between entrants to manipulate standings, and abuse of the pick or scoring systems are not allowed. Violations can result in disqualification from a pool or suspension of your account. See our community guidelines for more.
Disputes
If you believe a pool was scored incorrectly, reach out through contact & support with the pool name and game in question.
